A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to prohibiting a school district board of trustees from |
|
|
adopting a preference for trustee training offered by a specific |
|
|
provider. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 11.159, Education Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (f) to read as follows: |
|
|
(f) The board of trustees may not adopt a policy that |
|
|
requires, recommends, or encourages a trustee to attend training |
|
|
offered by a specific provider. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
