A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the Texas Lottery Commission establishing at least one |
|
|
weekly lottery game with a drawing held on Sundays. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 466.015, Government Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: |
|
|
(d) The rules the commission adopts under this section must |
|
|
establish at least one weekly lottery game with a drawing for the |
|
|
winning ticket held on Sundays. |
|
|
SECTION 2. Not later than January 1, 2024, the Texas Lottery |
|
|
Commission shall adopt or amend rules as necessary to implement |
|
|
Section 466.015(d), Government Code, as added by this Act. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
