A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to a requirement that the Health and Human Services |
|
|
Commission establish and operate a state hospital in a county |
|
|
located in the Panhandle region of this state. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Chapter 552, Health and Safety Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Subchapter F to read as follows: |
|
|
SUBCHAPTER F. STATE HOSPITAL IN PANHANDLE REGION |
|
|
Sec. 552.201. DUTY TO ESTABLISH AND OPERATE. The |
|
|
commission shall establish and operate a state hospital in a county |
|
|
located in the Panhandle region of this state. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
