A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the authority of the Nixon Hospital District of |
|
|
Gonzales and Wilson Counties, Texas, to borrow money. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 1080, Special District |
|
|
Local Laws Code, is amended by adding Section 1080.112 to read as |
|
|
follows: |
|
|
Sec. 1080.112. AUTHORITY TO BORROW MONEY. The board may |
|
|
contract indebtedness or borrow money for district purposes on the |
|
|
credit of the district or secured by revenues of district hospitals |
|
|
and the hospital system. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
