A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to reporting of the names of the directors of water supply |
|
|
or sewer service corporations; authorizing an administrative |
|
|
penalty. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter E, Chapter 13, Water Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Section 13.1361 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 13.1361. WATER SUPPLY OR SEWER SERVICE CORPORATION |
|
|
REPORT OF DIRECTORS. (a) The utility commission by rule shall |
|
|
require each water supply or sewer service corporation to: |
|
|
(1) file with the utility commission a report naming |
|
|
the directors of the corporation; and |
|
|
(2) in a timely manner, update the report when a new |
|
|
director is appointed or elected. |
|
|
(b) The utility commission may impose a penalty under |
|
|
Section 13.4151 for a failure to file a report required under this |
|
|
section in an amount of not more than $5,000 for each report that is |
|
|
not timely filed. |

SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
