A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the enforcement of county traffic rules in certain |
|
|
private subdivisions. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. The heading to Section 542.007, Transportation |
|
|
Code, is amended to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 542.007. TRAFFIC REGULATIONS: PRIVATE SUBDIVISION [IN |
|
|
CERTAIN COUNTIES]. |
|
|
SECTION 2. Section 542.007(a), Transportation Code, is |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(a) This section applies only to a subdivision that is |
|
|
located in the unincorporated area of a county [with a population of |
|
|
500,000 or less]. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
