A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to identifying attendees at a closed meeting. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter E, Chapter 551, Government Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 551.105 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 551.105. NOTICE OF CLOSED MEETING ATTENDEES. (a) The |
|
|
governmental body shall include in the minutes for an open meeting |
|
|
during which the closed meeting is held the names of any person who |
|
|
attended the closed meeting who is not a part of the governmental |
|
|
body or an employee of the governmental body. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
