A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to clarification of any Fire Marshals of a city, town, or |
|
|
village who are licensed peace officers. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
Title 1. Code of Criminal Procedures, Chapter 2, General |
|
|
Duties of Officers, Article 2.12. Who are Peace Officers, is |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
Section (3) marshals, police officers, fire marshals and |
|
|
any related officers, investigators or inspectors of an |
|
|
incorporated city, town, or village who hold a permanent peace |
|
|
officer license issued under Chapter 1701, Occupations Code. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
