A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the creation of an additional judicial district |

composed of Kaufman County. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 24, Government Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 24.60034 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 24.60034. 489TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT (KAUFMAN COUNTY). |
|
|
The 489th Judicial District is composed of Kaufman County. |
|
|
SECTION 2. The 489th Judicial District is created on |
|
|
January 1, 2024. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
