A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to gas supply information provided to the independent |
|
|
organization certified for the ERCOT power region. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 38.074, Utilities Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: |
|
|
(c) The rules must authorize the independent organization |
|
|
certified under Section 39.151 for the ERCOT power region to |
|
|
require that a gas utility, as defined by Section 121.001, that owns |
|
|
or controls a facility that is designated as critical under Section |
|
|
81.073, Natural Resources Code, or that provides physical gas |
|
|
delivery to an electric cooperative, municipally owned utility, or |
|
|
power generation company provide to the independent organization |
|
|
information in real time about the utility's gas supply, including |
|
|
through telemetry or the use of a hotline. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
