A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the governing body and authority of the Gulf Coast |
|
|
Protection District. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Chapter 9502, Special District Local Laws Code, |
|
|
is amended by adding Section 9502.0313 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 9502.0313. GOVERNING BODY AND AUTHORITY. The |
|
|
governing body and authority of the district is modified as set |
|
|
forth herein. Nothing herein shall be construed as to add |
|
|
additional land to the district, alter the taxing authority of the |
|
|
district, alter the authority of the district with respect to the |
|
|
issuance of bonds, or alter the qualifications or terms of office of |
|
|
members of the governing body of the district. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
