A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the compensation of commissioners of the Port of |
|
|
Beaumont Navigation District of Jefferson County, Texas. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Sections 5010.0205(a) and (b), Special District |
|
|
Local Laws Code, are amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(a) Except as provided by Subsection (b), a commissioner |
|
|
shall receive $750 [$500] per month for the commissioner's |
|
|
services. |
|
|
(b) A commissioner serving as president of the board shall |
|
|
receive $800 [$550] per month. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
