R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Gina M. Spagnola has been elected to the Texas
  Chamber of Commerce Executives Board of Directors for the 2023
  fiscal year; and
         WHEREAS, Founded in 1906, the Texas Chamber of Commerce
  Executives provides professional education, resources, and
  networking opportunities to 230 local and regional chambers of
  commerce across the state; and
         WHEREAS, For two decades, Gina Spagnola has served as
  president and chief executive officer of the Galveston Regional
  Chamber of Commerce, where she played an instrumental role in
  establishing the Galveston Women's Conference; she additionally
  created the chamber's education committee, which introduced the
  nationally recognized youth entrepreneurship program Lemonade Day
  to Galveston County; under her leadership, the chamber received a
  2013 Grand Award for Communication Excellence and a 2013 Award of
  Excellence for Advertising and Marketing Campaign from the American
  Chamber of Commerce Executives; and
         WHEREAS, Active in her community, Ms. Spagnola serves on a
  number of boards and committees, and she is a member of the United
  States Chamber of Commerce National Business Recovery Corps; she is
  also a graduate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for
  Organization Management; her accolades include the Paul Harris
  Fellow distinguished award from Rotary International, the National
  City Director of the Year Award from the National Lemonade Day
  Conference, and the Christie Mitchell Beachcomber Award, which
  honors individuals for outstanding efforts in promoting Galveston
  Island; and
         WHEREAS, Through her vision, leadership, and commitment to
  excellence, Gina Spagnola has earned the lasting respect and
  admiration of her colleagues and fellow citizens, and her
  experience and expertise are sure to serve her well as she takes on
  this new role; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Gina M. Spagnola on her election to
  the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives Board and extend to her
  sincere best wishes for a successful and productive tenure; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Spagnola as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
