R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Ray Dunlap has been named the 2023 chair of the board |
|
|
of directors for the Texas Economic Development Council, and this |
|
|
presents a fitting opportunity to recognize him for his many |
|
|
accomplishments; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A member of the TEDC executive committee since 2018, |
|
|
Mr. Dunlap assumed his role as chair of the board on October 21, |
|
|
2022, and his tenure will span until October 2023; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In the course of his 36-year career, Mr. Dunlap has |
|
|
developed a reputation as a skilled negotiator, salesman, and |
|
|
manager; he currently serves as president of the Terrell Economic |
|
|
Development Corporation, and he previously held the role of |
|
|
community and economic development manager for the Town of |
|
|
Fairview; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Over the years, Ray Dunlap's dedication and |
|
|
expertise have greatly benefited his colleagues and fellow |
|
|
citizens, and the experience he has acquired along the way will |
|
|
serve him well as he takes on this challenging new role; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Ray Dunlap on being named chair of |
|
|
the Texas Economic Development Council board of directors for 2023 |
|
|
and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Dunlap as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
