R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, IDEA Achieve Academy and College Prep in Haltom City |
|
|
has earned an A rating for the 2021-2022 school year from the Texas |
|
|
Education Agency; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Headquartered in Weslaco, IDEA Public Schools was |
|
|
established in 2000 with the mission to create high-performing |
|
|
schools for disadvantaged children with a focus on college |
|
|
preparation, matriculation, and graduation; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In 2019, IDEA Tarrant County was founded with |
|
|
Achieve Academy and College Prep as one of its flagship campuses; |
|
|
currently serving nearly 1,100 students in kindergarten through |
|
|
ninth grade, the school plans to continue to add more grade levels |
|
|
until the Class of 2026 becomes the high school's inaugural |
|
|
graduating class; IDEA Achieve is ably guided by principals |
|
|
Giovanni Outram and Deshanta Gooden; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For four years, IDEA Achieve Academy and College |
|
|
Prep has promoted educational excellence and college readiness, and |
|
|
in so doing, it has helped countless students in Tarrant County |
|
|
reach their full potential; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate IDEA Achieve Academy and College |
|
|
Prep on achieving an A rating from the Texas Education Agency and |
|
|
extend to all those involved with the school sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the school as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
