R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Texas National Board Coalition for Teaching is |
|
|
holding its annual conference and pinning ceremony in Austin on |
|
|
February 25, 2023; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Texas National Board Coalition for Teaching |
|
|
advances high-quality education by ensuring all students have |
|
|
equitable access to outstanding teachers and by supporting |
|
|
candidates in the board's certification and renewal process; the |
|
|
organization was recognized by the National Board for Professional |
|
|
Teaching Standards with a 2021 National Board Network Honor for |
|
|
Candidate Support; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Each year, TXNBCT holds a conference and pinning |
|
|
ceremony, which provides opportunities for networking and |
|
|
professional development for teachers, as well as for those seeking |
|
|
to become mentors and professional learning facilitators; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Recognized as the gold standard in teacher |
|
|
certification, the Texas National Board Coalition for Teaching |
|
|
promotes higher standards for teaching, and in so doing, it is |
|
|
helping to further student achievement across the Lone Star State; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commemorate the annual Texas National Board |
|
|
Coalition for Teaching Conference and Pinning Ceremony and extend |
|
|
to all those in attendance sincere best wishes for a successful |
|
|
event; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the coalition as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
