R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  passing of Mava Jo Turner of Anahuac on November 10, 2022, at the
  age of 87; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Jay and Delna Lewis, the former Mava
  Jo Lewis was born in Yellville, Arkansas, on September 12, 1935; she
  moved with her family to Texas in 1941, initially living in Luling
  and then settling in Anahuac in 1949; she attended Anahuac High
  School, where she was involved in sports and other student
  activities; and
         WHEREAS, She married Vernon Dwight "Pee Wee" Turner, with
  whom she shared a fulfilling union that spanned more than five
  decades until his passing in 2007; she took great pride in her
  children, Arthur, Jody, and the late Suzanne, and over the years,
  she had the pleasure of welcoming into her family five
  grandchildren, Cortney, Paige, Jason, Braden, and Lee, as well as
  six great-grandchildren, Baylee, Brooke, Krissa, Peyson, Grayson,
  and Wyatt; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Turner devoted herself to her home and to
  raising her children, and she worked alongside her husband on the
  family farm for many years; later in life, she enjoyed a rewarding
  career with Sterling Funeral Homes; and
         WHEREAS, Although she will be deeply missed, the passage of
  time will never diminish the joy and love that Mava Jo Turner
  brought into the lives of all who knew her; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Mava Jo Turner and
  extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of her family: to her son,
  Arthur Jay Turner, and his wife, Marie; to her daughter, Jody Fyvie,
  and her husband, Cort; to her grandchildren, Cortney Watson and her
  husband, Chris, Paige Standley and her husband, Justin, Jason
  Turner, Braden Turner and his wife, Jessie, and Lee Gray; to her
  great-grandchildren, Baylee Watson, Brooke Watson, Krissa Gray,
  Peyson Standley, Grayson Turner, and Wyatt Turner; and to her other
  relatives and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Mava Jo
  Turner.
