H.R. No. 367

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Southwestern University has honored John Dixon with a 2022 Joe S. Mundy Award for exemplary service; and

WHEREAS, This prestigious accolade was created in 2002 as a tribute to Joe S. Mundy, an alumnus of the university and a member of the alumni board of directors as well as the school's board of trustees; the award recognizes outstanding faculty and staff members who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the university; and

WHEREAS, A landscape services technician, John Dixon has been a valued member of facilities management at Southwestern University for more than 24 years; he coordinates a range of waste management and groundskeeping tasks, and over the course of his tenure, he has played an instrumental role in ensuring that the campus remains an attractive place for students; and

WHEREAS, In addition to his work with the university, Mr. Dixon has been employed by H-E-B for nearly two decades; he brings a positive attitude to all his endeavors, and he inspires those around him with his professionalism and drive; and

WHEREAS, Through his dedication, integrity, and strong work ethic, John Dixon has earned the lasting respect and admiration of his colleagues, and he is indeed deserving of this notable accolade; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate John Dixon on his receipt of a 2022 Joe S. Mundy Award and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Dixon as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
