R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Fernando Manuel Madrid is retiring from the San |
|
Elizario Independent School District Board of Trustees on March 31, |
|
2023, after nearly three decades of service to the district; and |
|
WHEREAS, Fernie Madrid began his tenure with the board of |
|
trustees on May 1, 1993, at the age of 25; he became the board's vice |
|
president in 1999, and he went on to serve as its secretary for |
|
approximately 14 years; he has worked alongside four |
|
superintendents, and he has played a significant role in a number of |
|
important projects, including the construction of San Elizario High |
|
School and Borrego and Sambrano Elementary Schools and a wide range |
|
of campus additions and improvements in the district; and |
|
WHEREAS, A 1986 graduate of San Elizario High, Mr. Madrid has |
|
enjoyed a successful career in retail management, and he takes |
|
great pride in his three children, Gilbert, Derek, and April; and |
|
WHEREAS, Through his tireless efforts in behalf of the San |
|
Elizario Independent School District, Fernie Madrid has earned the |
|
lasting respect and appreciation of his fellow citizens, and his |
|
many valuable contributions will continue to resonate in the years |
|
to come; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Fernando Manuel Madrid on his |
|
retirement from the San Elizario Independent School District and |
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Madrid as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
