R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Temple Community Clinic celebrated the 30th |
|
anniversary of its founding at its annual Caring Ball on February |
|
11, 2023; and |
|
WHEREAS, Established in 1992 through a collaboration between |
|
Leadership Temple and local physicians and community leaders, |
|
Temple Community Clinic seeks to expand access to quality health |
|
care for uninsured and underinsured residents of Bell County; the |
|
clinic offers a wide range of services in areas such as cardiology, |
|
gynecology, and dentistry, and works to ensure the overall |
|
well-being of its patients through wellness education and mental |
|
health care; and |
|
WHEREAS, Last year, the clinic served more than 1,500 |
|
patients at over 4,500 appointments, greatly reducing hospital and |
|
emergency room visits; to better meet the medical needs of area |
|
residents, the organization is in the process of building a new, |
|
larger facility; and |
|
WHEREAS, Over the past three decades, Temple Community Clinic |
|
has made vital contributions to the health and welfare of countless |
|
Bell County citizens, and it is indeed deserving of recognition on |
|
the occasion of this significant milestone in its history; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Temple Community Clinic for 30 years of |
|
service to the community and extend to all those associated with the |
|
organization sincere best wishes for continued success with their |
|
important work; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Temple Community Clinic as an expression of high |
|
regard by the Texas House of Representatives. |
