R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Levera Marie |
|
Wyatt-Hines were deeply saddened by her passing on January 19, |
|
2023, at the age of 74; and |
|
WHEREAS, The former Levera Wyatt was born to Corrie and |
|
Francis Wyatt on January 9, 1949, in Goodrich, and she grew up with |
|
the companionship of three brothers, Wallace, Larry, and Sammy; she |
|
was baptized at an early age at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in |
|
Houston; and |
|
WHEREAS, In 1967, Ms. Wyatt-Hines graduated from Phillis |
|
Wheatley High School in Houston, where she was voted Most Popular |
|
Senior, Senior Secretary, and Miss Esquire, and she continued her |
|
education at Prairie View A&M University; she went on to become an |
|
executive assistant at Coastal Oil and Gas before retiring in 1989; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, This beloved woman took great pride in her son, |
|
Marco; in her leisure hours, she enjoyed shopping and spending time |
|
with her family and friends; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although her loss is difficult to bear, Levera |
|
Wyatt-Hines has left her loved ones with many cherished memories, |
|
and they will forever hold her close in their hearts; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Levera Marie |
|
Wyatt-Hines and extend sincere condolences to all who mourn her |
|
passing: to her son, Marco Limbrick; to her brothers, Larry Wyatt |
|
and Sammy Wyatt; to her nephews, Yuri Wyatt and his wife, Zarassa, |
|
Dion Byrd, Bryant Wyatt, and Milton Wyatt; to her nieces, Tonjau |
|
Wyatt, Ashante Days, and Samona Wyatt; and to her other relatives |
|
and many friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Levera |
|
Marie Wyatt-Hines. |
