R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Mujeres Cycling in San Antonio is being honored on |
|
|
March 14, 2023, in recognition of the first anniversary of the |
|
|
organization's founding; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Established in January 2022, Mujeres Cycling is a |
|
|
female-only training club that provides support for its members, |
|
|
helping to improve their skills, strength, and endurance, while |
|
|
also encouraging camaraderie and mentorship; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The group holds weekly social and training rides in |
|
|
San Antonio and across the surrounding area; the rides are open to |
|
|
individuals of all levels, and Mujeres Cycling often partners with |
|
|
other women's bicycling clubs to coordinate events; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through its exemplary work, Mujeres Cycling is |
|
|
building a supportive and welcoming community for women cyclists, |
|
|
and it is a pleasure to join in recognizing the group for its many |
|
|
contributions; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commemorate the first anniversary of Mujeres |
|
|
Cycling and extend to its members sincere best wishes for the |
|
|
future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be prepared for the |
|
|
club as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives. |
