R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The Harlandale Sunshine Pantry in San Antonio has
  made a meaningful difference in the lives of countless people in
  need; and
         WHEREAS, With the motto, "When you can't find the sunshine,
  be the sunshine," the Harlandale Sunshine Pantry was established in
  2020 by sisters Lotus Rios and Marissa Gutierrez; it is a
  mutual-aid, self-service community pantry that provides food as
  well as basic necessities, including diapers and hygiene products,
  to individuals in the Southside area of San Antonio; it also hosts
  monthly produce giveaways; and
         WHEREAS, The pantry is funded through donations, though
  Ms. Rios will sometimes stock the pantry out of her own pocket; the
  organization benefited from a $5,555 grant from the Ingram Park
  Auto Center, which allowed for the purchase of tents, warming
  blankets, and additional food supplies; and
         WHEREAS, True to its mission, the Harlandale Sunshine Pantry
  has helped Southside residents build brighter futures, and it is a
  pleasure to join in honoring the organization for its exceptional
  service to the community; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend the Harlandale Sunshine Pantry for its
  vital contributions to the community and extend to Lotus Rios and
  Marissa Gutierrez sincere best wishes for continued success with
  their important work; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the Harlandale Sunshine Pantry as an expression of
  high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
