R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Women's History Month is held in March to celebrate |
|
the myriad contributions made by women in every field and facet of |
|
our society, and this observance provides a fitting opportunity to |
|
recognize the exemplary service of Sandra Licon; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Licon has distinguished herself through her |
|
dedicated efforts as president of the San Elizario Independent |
|
School District Board of Trustees, and the skill and |
|
professionalism she has demonstrated in this important role have |
|
earned her the respect and admiration of her fellow Texans; and |
|
WHEREAS, Through her deep commitment to her duties, Ms. Licon |
|
greatly benefits the students, faculty, and staff she serves, and |
|
her achievements make her a worthy role model for other women |
|
seeking public office; and |
|
WHEREAS, The Lone Star State is fortunate to have passionate |
|
and engaged leaders like Sandra Licon, and she may take justifiable |
|
pride in her contributions and in the inspiring example she has set |
|
for others; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Sandra Licon for her service as |
|
president of the San Elizario Independent School District Board of |
|
Trustees and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
success in all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Licon as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
