R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Women's History Month is held in March to celebrate |
|
the myriad contributions made by women in every field and facet of |
|
our society, and this observance provides a fitting opportunity to |
|
recognize the exemplary service of Marcela Navarrete; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Navarrete has distinguished herself through her |
|
dedicated efforts as the first female chief financial officer of El |
|
Paso Water, and the skill and professionalism she has demonstrated |
|
in this important role have earned her the respect and admiration of |
|
her fellow Texans; and |
|
WHEREAS, Through her deep commitment to her duties, |
|
Ms. Navarrete greatly benefits the customers she serves, and her |
|
achievements make her a worthy role model for other women in public |
|
utility administration; and |
|
WHEREAS, The Lone Star State is fortunate to have passionate |
|
and engaged leaders like Marcela Navarrete, and she may take |
|
justifiable pride in her contributions and in the inspiring example |
|
she has set for others; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Marcela Navarrete for her service as the |
|
first female chief financial officer of El Paso Water and extend to |
|
her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; |
|
and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Navarrete as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
