R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Women's History Month is held in March to celebrate |
|
|
the myriad contributions made by women in every field and facet of |
|
|
our society, and this observance provides a fitting opportunity to |
|
|
recognize the exemplary service of Yvonne Colon-Villalobos; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Colon-Villalobos has distinguished herself |
|
|
through her dedicated efforts as a member of the Socorro City |
|
|
Council, and the skill and professionalism she has demonstrated in |
|
|
this important role have earned her the respect and admiration of |
|
|
her fellow Texans; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through her deep commitment to her duties, |
|
|
Ms. Colon-Villalobos greatly benefits the citizens she serves, and |
|
|
her achievements make her a worthy role model for other women |
|
|
seeking public office; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Lone Star State is fortunate to have passionate |
|
|
and engaged leaders like Yvonne Colon-Villalobos, and she may take |
|
|
justifiable pride in her contributions and in the inspiring example |
|
|
she has set for others; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Yvonne Colon-Villalobos for her service |
|
|
as a member of the Socorro City Council and extend to her sincere |
|
|
best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Colon-Villalobos as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
