R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Women's History Month is held in March to celebrate |
|
the myriad contributions made by women in every field and facet of |
|
our society, and this observance provides a fitting opportunity to |
|
recognize the exemplary service of Rosy Vega-Barrio; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Vega-Barrio has distinguished herself through |
|
her dedicated efforts as superintendent of the Tornillo Independent |
|
School District, and the skill and professionalism she has |
|
demonstrated in this important role have earned her the respect and |
|
admiration of her fellow Texans; and |
|
WHEREAS, Through her deep commitment to her duties, |
|
Ms. Vega-Barrio greatly benefits the students, faculty, and staff |
|
she serves, and her achievements make her a worthy role model for |
|
other women in education; and |
|
WHEREAS, The Lone Star State is fortunate to have passionate |
|
and engaged leaders like Rosy Vega-Barrio, and she may take |
|
justifiable pride in her contributions and in the inspiring example |
|
she has set for others; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Rosy Vega-Barrio for her service as |
|
superintendent of the Tornillo Independent School District and |
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her |
|
endeavors; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Vega-Barrio as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
