R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The Plano ISD Education Foundation is celebrating
  its 30th anniversary in 2023, and this occasion offers a fitting
  opportunity to recognize its myriad contributions to the Plano
  Independent School District; and
         WHEREAS, A nonprofit led by local business and community
  leaders, the Plano Education Foundation was established in 1993 to
  support Plano ISD students, instructors, and schools; in keeping
  with its mission, the organization partners with more than 40
  businesses and organizations in the North Texas area to provide
  resources that go above and beyond the Plano ISD normal operating
  budget; and
         WHEREAS, Over the years, the Plano ISD Education Foundation
  has generated over $22 million in private support for a wide variety
  of initiatives that benefit teachers, students, and their families,
  including AVID Elementary, the CORE Store, an employee crisis fund,
  the PISD 100 Employee Recognition Program, grants to teachers, a
  back-to-school fair, health sciences certifications for students,
  a welcome and enrollment center, support for professional learning,
  the Robbie & Lynore Robinson Fine Arts Center, the Health Sciences
  Academy, and the Richards Douglass Immediate Needs Fund; and
         WHEREAS, The foundation currently benefits from the able
  leadership of president Missy Bender, president-elect Jenna
  Maynard, immediate past president Jeff Beckley, treasurer Joshua
  Bourgeois, assistant secretary Harshal Chhaya, secretary Leanne
  Libby, and senior executive director Brittnea Ussery; and
         WHEREAS, For three decades, the Plano ISD Education
  Foundation has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to meeting
  the needs of the local school district while playing a vital role in
  helping young Texans achieve their full potential; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Plano
  ISD Education Foundation and extend to the organization's
  administration and staff sincere best wishes for the future; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the foundation as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
