R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times and
  meaningful accomplishments remain to comfort the family and friends
  of Minerva Rodriguez Lopez of Robstown, who passed away on June 26,
  2022, at the age of 84; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Nicholas and Maria Elena Gonzales
  Rodriguez, the former Minerva Rodriguez was born in Robstown on
  February 4, 1938, and she grew up with the companionship of four
  siblings, Nicholas, Ramiro, Armando, and Maria Elena; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Lopez was a cofounder of Lopez Broadcasting,
  where she enjoyed a rewarding career that spanned more than three
  decades, and she cofounded Cotton Broadcasting with her husband,
  Humberto Lozano Lopez, and son Carlos Lopez in 1985; four years
  later, the trio established KMIQ Majic Tejano, one of the first
  Spanish-language FM radio stations in the nation, and they
  subsequently founded the KHMC Majic Tejano station in Victoria;
  they went on to establish KLMO Tejano in San Antonio as well as a
  number of broadcasting stations in Corpus Christi, and they found
  further success in the television industry; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Lopez shared 55 years of marriage with her
  husband before Mr. Lopez's passing in 2011; in addition to her son
  Carlos, she took great pride in their 11 other children, Mario
  Humberto, Luis Homero, Larry, Manuel, Humberto, Ernest, Mena Lamar,
  Melinda, Ray, Lisa, and Mary Helen, and over the years, her
  treasured family grew to include 39 grandchildren and 31
  great-grandchildren; sustained by a deep faith, she was a devoted
  parishioner of St. Anthony Church; and
         WHEREAS, Minerva Lopez lived a caring and purposeful life,
  and she will forever be a source of inspiration to those who were
  fortunate enough to know her; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Minerva Rodriguez
  Lopez and extend heartfelt sympathy to all who mourn her passing;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Minerva
  Lopez.
