R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
  of Theresa Linda Becka of College Station, who passed away on
  March 17, 2023, at the age of 70; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of John and Lorene Kovar, Theresa Becka
  was born in La Grange on March 2, 1953; she grew up with the
  companionship of four siblings, Lorene, J. D., Charlie, and Erwin;
  and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Becka enjoyed a rewarding career with the Corps
  of Cadets recruiting office at Texas A&M University that spanned
  more than three and a half decades; a woman of faith, she was a
  founding member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church; during her
  leisure time, she enjoyed sewing and needlework, mah-jongg, and
  jigsaw puzzles, and she also liked spending time outdoors, whether
  at the beach, on a camping trip, or taking a walk; and
         WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Mrs. Becka enjoyed the love
  and support of her husband, Tommy, with whom she shared 38 years of
  marriage before his passing in 2011; she was the devoted mother of
  three children, Mark, Kristie, and Sara, and with the passing
  years, she had the privilege of seeing her family grow to include
  three grandchildren, Branden, Camryn, and Andi; and
         WHEREAS, Although Theresa Becka will be deeply missed, those
  who held her dear will forever remember the warmth and kindness she
  brought into their lives; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Theresa Linda Becka
  and extend heartfelt condolences to the members of her family: to
  her children, Mark Becka and his wife, Nicole, Kristie Mata and her
  husband, Adam, and Sara Becka; to her grandchildren, Branden Becka,
  Camryn Mata, and Andi Becka; to her siblings, Lorene Nitschke, J. D.
  Kovar and his wife, Madeline, Charlie Kovar and his wife, Liz, and
  Erwin Kovar and his wife, Betty; and to her other relatives and
  friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Theresa
  Becka.
