R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Jordan Robinson began her tenure as president and |
|
chief executive officer of the Round Rock Chamber on May 1, 2022; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Robinson first joined the chamber as vice |
|
president for economic development in August 2020; in that role, |
|
she recruited a new economic development team and led several |
|
strategic initiatives, including a rebranding effort and the |
|
completion of a successful five-year capital campaign; and |
|
WHEREAS, A Texas native, Ms. Robinson holds a degree in |
|
journalism and public relations from Baylor University; earlier in |
|
her career, she was employed for nine years at Development |
|
Counsellors International, a New York-based firm that specializes |
|
in economic development and tourism marketing; she also spent two |
|
years working for the Texas Economic Development & Tourism Office |
|
as the strategic business development manager, before she took on |
|
the role of senior director of regional economic development for |
|
the Greater Houston Partnership, where she managed a portfolio of |
|
potential projects representing more than 11,000 jobs and over $8 |
|
billion in capital investment; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Robinson was previously honored as a recipient |
|
of the 2021 Economic Development 40 Under 40 Award, an accolade that |
|
recognized her as one of the up-and-coming leaders in her field; and |
|
WHEREAS, Jordan Robinson brings a wealth of knowledge and |
|
experience to her work leading the Round Rock Chamber, and with this |
|
dynamic executive at its helm, the organization is well-positioned |
|
to meet the challenges and opportunities of the future; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jordan Robinson on her appointment |
|
as president and CEO of the Round Rock Chamber and extend to her |
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Robinson as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
