R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Christ Episcopal School in Nacogdoches is marking
  the 75th anniversary of its founding in 2023; and
         WHEREAS, The school traces its origins back to 1948, when the
  Reverend Scott Field Baily, then the rector of Christ Episcopal
  Church, established Christ Episcopal Day School; the first
  Protestant private school in Nacogdoches, the institution only had
  a kindergarten program when it first opened, with a prekindergarten
  program and first-grade class added soon after; initially
  accredited in 1973, the school operates within the Episcopal
  Diocese of Texas; and
         WHEREAS, Under the leadership of the head of school,
  Catherine Fenci Oliver, Christ Episcopal School currently provides
  a comprehensive Christian education to three-year-olds through
  fifth-graders; the modern campus features a separate preschool
  building as well as a library, a computer lab, art and music rooms,
  a multi-purpose room, and administrative offices; and
         WHEREAS, For three-quarters of a century, the faculty and
  staff of Christ Episcopal School have dedicated themselves to
  meeting the educational needs of their students, and the school has
  played a vital role in helping many young Texans build a bright and
  fulfilling future; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby commemorate the 75th anniversary of Christ
  Episcopal School and extend to all those associated with the school
  sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Christ Episcopal School as an expression of high
  regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
