R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Locally owned and operated businesses contribute to |
|
the economic and cultural vitality of the Lone Star State, and |
|
Isidora Flower & Gift Shop is deserving of recognition for the |
|
positive role it plays in the Houston community; and |
|
WHEREAS, Located in the Rice Village Shopping Center, Isidora |
|
Flower & Gift Shop offers custom-made flower orders and grab-and-go |
|
fresh bouquets as well as a variety of gifts created by local and |
|
international artisans; the shop also provides flowers for special |
|
events and weddings; and |
|
WHEREAS, The owner, Thalia Jaguande, moved to Houston from |
|
Peru in 2013 in order to receive medical treatment; embracing her |
|
new community, she went on to earn her master's degree and opened |
|
Isidora Flower & Gift Shop in September 2021; and |
|
WHEREAS, Isidora Flower & Gift Shop has won the loyalty of |
|
area residents while providing valued services, and Thalia Jaguande |
|
may take great pride in making the shop a welcome addition to the |
|
Houston business community; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby recognize Isidora Flower & Gift Shop and extend |
|
to Thalia Jaguande and her staff sincere best wishes for continued |
|
success; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for the shop as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
