R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The Full Spectrum employee resource group hosted a
  Black History Month program at Airbus Helicopters in Grand Prairie
  on February 21, 2023; and
         WHEREAS, Full Spectrum was established in 2020 to advance
  racial diversity and inclusion at Airbus Americas, an international
  aircraft manufacturing company; the initiative focuses its efforts
  on recruitment, professional development, cultural education and
  awareness, external partnerships and sponsorships, and
  issues-driven conversations; and
         WHEREAS, The 2023 Black History Month program at Airbus
  Helicopters paid tribute to a number of Black aviators, including
  Bessie Coleman, the first Black woman to earn a pilot's license,
  Cornelius Coffey, the first African American to hold an aircraft
  mechanic license, and the Tuskegee Airmen, the first Black military
  aviators in the U.S. Army Air Corps; in addition, the event featured
  a keynote speech from Grand Prairie NAACP branch president Angela
  Luckey as well as performances from the Bandan Koro African drum and
  dance ensemble, spoken word artist and actor Israel J. Henry, and
  lyricist J'Asrie; and
         WHEREAS, The observance of Black History Month highlights the
  countless ways in which African Americans have helped shape our
  state and nation, and all those involved with Full Spectrum and
  Airbus Helicopters are to be commended for their efforts to
  celebrate this special occasion; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby commemorate the 2023 Black History Month program
  hosted by Full Spectrum and extend to the group sincere best wishes
  for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Full Spectrum as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
