R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Parker J. Nickerson has ably served his fellow |
|
|
Texans as an aide in the office of State Representative Jolanda |
|
|
Jones during the 88th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Nickerson has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|
|
in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|
|
service, he has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Nickerson is currently enrolled as a student at |
|
|
The University of Texas at Austin; during his time at the Capitol, |
|
|
he has contributed to the success of Representative Jones's |
|
|
legislative agenda through his research and analysis of complex |
|
|
public health policy issues and his assistance with drafting |
|
|
legislation, and he has also provided critical support to lawmakers |
|
|
in other areas; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Parker Nickerson has performed his duties as a |
|
|
legislative aide with great skill and diligence, and through his |
|
|
dedication to helping improve public health and uphold the values |
|
|
of our democracy, he has earned the respect and admiration of all |
|
|
who have had the pleasure of working with him; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Parker J. Nickerson for his service as a |
|
|
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Jolanda |
|
|
Jones and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in |
|
|
all his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Nickerson as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
