R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |
|
|
of Jerry Wayne Ivey, who passed away on May 3, 2019, at the age of |
|
|
77; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Jerry Ivey was the son of Carroll and Dorothea Ivey, |
|
|
and he grew up with a brother, Robert, and a sister, Carol; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In the course of his rewarding career as an |
|
|
educator, Mr. Ivey worked at a number of school districts, |
|
|
including the Sierra Blanca, Culberson County-Allamoore, Socorro, |
|
|
and Ysleta Independent School Districts; he retired from Ysleta ISD |
|
|
as a vocational administrator; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Ivey enjoyed the love and |
|
|
support of his wife, Jean, and he took great pride in their |
|
|
children, Debbie and Wayne; with the passing years, he had the |
|
|
pleasure of welcoming into his family numerous grandchildren and |
|
|
great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Those who were privileged to share in this treasured |
|
|
man's love and friendship will always remember him with great |
|
|
admiration and affection; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Jerry Wayne Ivey and |
|
|
extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of his family; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jerry Ivey. |
