R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, U.S. Army tank gunner Angelina Cummins of Lampasas |
|
|
County has answered her nation's call to duty with her deployment |
|
|
overseas as a member of the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team from |
|
|
Fort Hood; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, During her time in the army, Ms. Cummins has |
|
|
excelled in the male-dominated gunnery field; she completed |
|
|
rigorous training to become a crewman for the M1A2 Abrams battle |
|
|
tank, and she recently deployed to Poland with the 2nd Platoon |
|
|
"Brutal Company," 2nd Battalion 70th Armored, 2nd Armored Brigade |
|
|
Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A private first class, Ms. Cummins is the recipient |
|
|
of an Army Achievement Medal for excellence in gunnery; she has |
|
|
earned the admiration of her fellow service members for her |
|
|
positivity and perseverance, and she has demonstrated exceptional |
|
|
skill and dedication in the pursuit of her goals; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Angelina Cummins has proudly served her country with |
|
|
honor and distinction, and it is indeed a pleasure to join in |
|
|
recognizing her for her many accomplishments; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor U.S. Army tank gunner Angelina Cummins for |
|
|
her deployment overseas with the Fort Hood 2nd Armored Brigade |
|
|
Combat Team and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Cummins as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
