R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Linda Alvarado Blanco |
|
of Round Rock were deeply saddened by her passing on April 3, 2023, |
|
at the age of 70; and |
|
WHEREAS, Linda Blanco was born to Dorothy and Rogelio Blanco |
|
in Round Rock on April 3, 1953, and she grew up with the |
|
companionship of her sister, Gloria; she graduated from Round Rock |
|
High School in 1971; and |
|
WHEREAS, Over the course of her career, Ms. Blanco worked for |
|
Meridell Achievement Center in Jollyville and The Nelson Children's |
|
Residential Center through Lutheran Social Services in Denton; she |
|
retired from Proscape Landscaping after many years of service; and |
|
WHEREAS, Active in her community, Ms. Blanco was a member of |
|
the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 447 and held a number of officer |
|
positions; moreover, she was a lifetime parishioner of Saint |
|
William Catholic Church; in her leisure time, she enjoyed spending |
|
time with her family and friends; and |
|
WHEREAS, Admired for her warm and caring nature and radiant |
|
smile, Linda Blanco brightened the world for all who knew her, and |
|
they will forever hold her close in their hearts; now, therefore, be |
|
it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Linda Alvarado |
|
Blanco and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of her family: |
|
to her mother, Dorothy Blanco; to her sister, Gloria Vallejo, and |
|
her husband, Adolfo; to her nephew, Rogelio Orlando Vallejo, and |
|
his wife, Leshelle; to her niece, Linda Adrianna V. Vasquez; to her |
|
great-nephews, Adolfo Jacob Vallejo, Thayer Scott Vallejo, and |
|
Alister Lee Vallejo; and to her many other relatives and friends; |
|
and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Linda |
|
Blanco. |
