R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Michael Logan of the Prosper Independent School
  District was named the Teacher of the Year at the 2022 All-American
  High School Film Festival, and his selection provides a welcome
  opportunity to recognize this esteemed educator; and
         WHEREAS, AAHSFF is the world's largest high school film
  festival, offering a stage for the next generation of talented
  filmmakers and media arts enthusiasts from around the world;
  Mr. Logan was named the top teacher at the 2022 competition, and his
  students took home prizes in brand marketing challenge and podcast
  and were nominated for awards in the complete experience, action
  sports, and broadcast journalism categories; and
         WHEREAS, A graduate of the University of North Texas and a
  former touring engineer, Mr. Logan has taught audio and video
  production at Prosper ISD for nearly eight years; he is a leader in
  the department and serves as an inspiring mentor for his students,
  hoping to instill in them a passion for filmmaking; over the years,
  his students have garnered countless honors such as the Lone Star
  Emmy Awards, University Interscholastic Awards, and National
  Student Production awards, and the Prosper High School program
  received the 2021-2022 Association of Texas Photography
  Instructors Top Video Program; and
         WHEREAS, Michael Logan exemplifies the enthusiasm,
  determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our
  best teachers, and he has set a standard of excellence to which all
  in his profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Michael Logan on his selection as
  the 2022 All-American High School Film Festival Teacher of the Year
  and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success with his
  important work; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Logan as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
