R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Maria Fernanda Corral Barrera of El Paso Community |
|
College has greatly benefited her fellow students through her |
|
service as parliamentarian of the Student Government Association; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, The EPCC Student Government Association acts as the |
|
voice of the student body to the college administration, with |
|
elected members representing the interests and concerns of their |
|
peers and advocating for students' rights; the organization also |
|
provides leadership and professional development opportunities as |
|
participants strive to improve the school's social and educational |
|
experience; and |
|
WHEREAS, In order to foster positive change, the EPCC Student |
|
Government Association facilitates communication between students, |
|
administration, faculty, staff, and community organizations; and |
|
WHEREAS, The Student Government Association plays a valuable |
|
role in supporting El Paso Community College students as they |
|
develop a solid educational foundation for future achievement, and |
|
Maria Fernanda Corral Barrera is indeed worthy of recognition; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Maria Fernanda Corral Barrera for her |
|
service as parliamentarian of the Student Government Association at |
|
El Paso Community College and extend to her sincere best wishes for |
|
the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Corral Barrera as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
