R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Matthew Ramirez of Texas Tech University Health |
|
Sciences Center El Paso has greatly benefited his fellow students |
|
through his service as vice president of finance of the Student |
|
Government Association; and |
|
WHEREAS, The TTUHSC El Paso Student Government Association |
|
acts as the voice of the student body to the college administration, |
|
with elected members representing the interests and concerns of |
|
their peers and advocating for students' rights; the organization |
|
also provides leadership and professional development |
|
opportunities as participants strive to improve the school's social |
|
and educational experience; and |
|
WHEREAS, In order to foster positive change, the TTUHSC El |
|
Paso Student Government Association facilitates communication |
|
between students, administration, faculty, staff, and community |
|
organizations; and |
|
WHEREAS, The Student Government Association plays a valuable |
|
role in supporting Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El |
|
Paso students as they develop a solid educational foundation for |
|
future achievement, and Matthew Ramirez is indeed worthy of |
|
recognition; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Matthew Ramirez for his service as vice |
|
president of finance of the Student Government Association at Texas |
|
Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso and extend to him |
|
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Ramirez as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
