R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Emily M. Doan has ably served her fellow Texans as an |
|
|
aide in the office of State Representative Jacey Jetton during the |
|
|
88th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Doan has provided vital |
|
|
assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, such as |
|
|
conducting legislative research and communicating with |
|
|
constituents; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the |
|
|
field of public service, she has learned more about the legislative |
|
|
process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Doan is currently on the pre-law track at The |
|
|
University of Texas at Austin, where she is pursuing a bachelor's |
|
|
degree in government with a minor in sociology and has earned |
|
|
placement on the dean's honor list; active in her campus community, |
|
|
she is involved with Innovations for Peace and Development, Phi |
|
|
Delta Phi, the Texas Business Law Association, and the Vietnamese |
|
|
Student Association, and she also finds time to volunteer with |
|
|
Change 1; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |
|
|
duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is |
|
|
indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Emily M. Doan for her service as a |
|
|
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Jacey Jetton |
|
|
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all |
|
|
her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Doan as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
