R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Eric Craven of Austin retired as senior vice |
|
president of government relations and legal affairs for Texas |
|
Electric Cooperatives, Inc., in January 2022, drawing to a close an |
|
exceptional career with the organization that spanned more than |
|
three decades; and |
|
WHEREAS, A proud graduate of The University of Texas at |
|
Austin, Mr. Craven began his career with Texas Electric |
|
Cooperatives in 1990; TEC, which has been in operation since 1941, |
|
advocates for the interests of 67 distribution and 9 generation and |
|
transmission electric cooperatives in the state; and |
|
WHEREAS, Throughout his tenure, Mr. Craven worked to advance |
|
sound public policy impacting member-owned and member-governed |
|
electric providers; his success in that endeavor furthered the |
|
cooperatives' ultimate goal of providing essential electric and |
|
telecommunications services to communities across the state, |
|
enhancing the quality of life of many rural Texans; and |
|
WHEREAS, Eric Craven earned the lasting respect of his |
|
colleagues through the dedication, integrity, and commitment to |
|
excellence that he brought to his work with TEC, and his |
|
contributions will be remembered and appreciated for many years to |
|
come; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Eric Craven for his dedicated service |
|
with Texas Electric Cooperatives, Inc., and extend to him sincere |
|
best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Craven as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
