R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Dr. Sheryse Desiree Mobley has been named a |
|
|
recipient of a 2023 Distinguished Alumni Award by the Killeen |
|
|
Independent School District Alumni Association; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Each year, the alumni association recognizes |
|
|
Killeen ISD graduates who have contributed significantly to their |
|
|
communities or professions and who serve as inspiring role models |
|
|
for future generations; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A 2011 graduate of Killeen High School, Dr. Sheryse |
|
|
Mobley earned an undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University |
|
|
and a doctorate in podiatric medicine from Kent State University; |
|
|
she was subsequently commissioned into the United States Air Force |
|
|
and went on to complete a three-year podiatric surgery residency |
|
|
with Baltimore Veterans Affairs and Sinai Hospital of Baltimore |
|
|
Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics; along the way, she was |
|
|
promoted to the rank of captain; she is currently stationed at Joint |
|
|
Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska, as a staff |
|
|
podiatric foot and ankle surgeon; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The accomplishments of noteworthy alumni are a |
|
|
source of great pride to all those associated with Killeen ISD, and |
|
|
Dr. Sheryse Mobley is indeed deserving of this prestigious honor; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Dr. Sheryse Desiree Mobley on her |
|
|
receipt of a 2023 Distinguished Alumni Award from the Killeen |
|
|
Independent School District Alumni Association and extend to her |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Dr. Mobley as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
