R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Sarah Cockerham Lynch has been named a recipient of
  a 2023 Distinguished Alumni Award by the Killeen Independent School
  District Alumni Association; and
         WHEREAS, Each year, the alumni association recognizes
  Killeen ISD graduates who have contributed significantly to their
  communities or professions and who serve as inspiring role models
  for future generations; and
         WHEREAS, Sarah Cockerham Lynch attended Fowler and Bellaire
  Elementary Schools and Nolan Junior High School, and she graduated
  from Killeen High School in 1975; she went on to teach in Killeen
  ISD for more than a decade; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Cockerham Lynch is currently chief operating
  officer of R Lynch Enterprises, and together with her husband,
  retired U.S. Army Lieutenant General Rick Lynch, she is a dedicated
  advocate for military service members and their families; she
  serves as an ambassador for the Gary Sinise Foundation and as an
  advisor for Operation Finally Home, and she gives generously of her
  time and talents to benefit the Homes For Our Troops organization;
  and
         WHEREAS, The accomplishments of noteworthy alumni are a
  source of great pride to all those associated with Killeen ISD, and
  Sarah Cockerham Lynch is indeed deserving of this prestigious
  honor; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Sarah Cockerham Lynch on her
  receipt of a 2023 Distinguished Alumni Award from the Killeen
  Independent School District Alumni Association and extend to her
  sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mrs. Cockerham Lynch as an expression of high regard
  by the Texas House of Representatives.
