R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Karina Lucio has ably served her fellow Texans as an |
|
|
intern in the office of State Representative R. D. "Bobby" Guerra |
|
|
during the 88th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Lucio has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |
|
|
including corresponding and arranging meetings with stakeholders |
|
|
and drafting research and talking points for bills and committee |
|
|
hearings; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field |
|
|
of public service, she has learned more about the legislative |
|
|
process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Lucio is interning for Representative Guerra as |
|
|
part of The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Legislative |
|
|
Internship Program; she is currently pursuing a political science |
|
|
degree with a minor in English, and she has plans to attend law |
|
|
school after graduation; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Karina Lucio has performed her duties as a |
|
|
legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Karina Lucio for her service as a |
|
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative R. D. |
|
|
"Bobby" Guerra and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success in all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Lucio as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
