R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Courtney A. Doucet has ably served her fellow Texans |
|
|
as an intern in the office of State Representative Yvonne Davis |
|
|
during the 88th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff through the Texas |
|
|
Legislative Internship Program, Ms. Doucet has provided vital |
|
|
assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, such as |
|
|
researching bills, drafting constituent correspondence, and |
|
|
monitoring the House Committee on Judiciary and Civil |
|
|
Jurisprudence; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the |
|
|
field of public service, she has learned more about the legislative |
|
|
process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Doucet is a student at the Thurgood Marshall |
|
|
School of Law at Texas Southern University, and she is set to |
|
|
graduate in May 2023; she earned her bachelor's degree from Baylor |
|
|
University, and she previously worked on the campaign for Houston |
|
|
mayor Sylvester Turner's reelection and as a reporter for the |
|
|
Baylor Lariat; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This noteworthy Texan has performed her duties as a |
|
|
legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Courtney A. Doucet for her service as a |
|
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Yvonne |
|
|
Davis and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in |
|
|
all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Doucet as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
