R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Courtney A. Doucet has ably served her fellow Texans
  as an intern in the office of State Representative Yvonne Davis
  during the 88th Legislative Session; and
         WHEREAS, Since joining the staff through the Texas
  Legislative Internship Program, Ms. Doucet has provided vital
  assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, such as
  researching bills, drafting constituent correspondence, and
  monitoring the House Committee on Judiciary and Civil
  Jurisprudence; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the
  field of public service, she has learned more about the legislative
  process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Doucet is a student at the Thurgood Marshall
  School of Law at Texas Southern University, and she is set to
  graduate in May 2023; she earned her bachelor's degree from Baylor
  University, and she previously worked on the campaign for Houston
  mayor Sylvester Turner's reelection and as a reporter for the
  Baylor Lariat; and
         WHEREAS, This noteworthy Texan has performed her duties as a
  legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed
  deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Courtney A. Doucet for her service as a
  legislative intern in the office of State Representative Yvonne
  Davis and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in
  all her endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Doucet as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
