R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Corpus Christi Independent School District trustee |
|
Dolly Gonzales Trolley received a 2023 Women in Education Award |
|
from the Education Service Center Region 2 at its Outstanding Women |
|
in Education event on March 29; and |
|
WHEREAS, Appointed to the school board in January 2021, |
|
Mrs. Trolley was returned to office in the November 2022 election |
|
and currently serves as board secretary; renowned as a steadfast |
|
advocate for students, she works tirelessly to engage and |
|
collaborate with parents in an effort to further the district's |
|
educational mission; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Trolley holds a bachelor's degree from |
|
Stephen F. Austin State University and has two decades of |
|
experience working as a fundraising consultant; she gives |
|
generously of her time to numerous organizations within the Corpus |
|
Christi community and has been actively involved in several PTA |
|
groups over the years; and |
|
WHEREAS, Dolly Gonzales Trolley has set an outstanding |
|
example of leadership and dedication to which others may aspire, |
|
and she is indeed deserving of this noteworthy honor; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Dolly Gonzales Trolley on her |
|
receipt of a 2023 Women in Education Award from the Education |
|
Service Center Region 2 and extend to her sincere best wishes for |
|
continued success in her important work; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mrs. Trolley as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
