R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Robyn Derington of the Banquete Independent School |
|
|
District received a 2023 Women in Education Award from the |
|
|
Education Service Center Region 2 at its Outstanding Women in |
|
|
Education Event on March 29; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Derington currently serves as assistant |
|
|
superintendent of teaching and learning for Banquete ISD, and over |
|
|
the past year, she has become an integral member of the staff and an |
|
|
effective leader in the district community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Before being hired at Banquete, Ms. Derington |
|
|
acquired administrative experience as the assistant superintendent |
|
|
of curriculum and instruction for Fredericksburg ISD, as the |
|
|
curriculum director for Fort Stockton ISD, and as an education |
|
|
consultant for Region 18; earlier in her career, she served as |
|
|
assistant principal for Midland ISD and also taught in various |
|
|
capacities; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Robyn Derington has set an outstanding example of |
|
|
leadership and dedication to which others may aspire, and she is |
|
|
indeed deserving of this noteworthy honor; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Robyn Derington on her receipt of a |
|
|
2023 Women in Education Award from the Education Service Center |
|
|
Region 2 and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success |
|
|
in her important work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Derington as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
